The Gateway Poultry Association, Inc. is proud to present the Gateway Pigeon Show on Saturday April 12, 2008. We offer excellent show facilities and cash awards. Champion Sporting, Champion Fancy, and Champion Utility will receive handcrafted plaques made from locally timbered cherry wood. Juniors will exhibit in the Open Show for 2008.

PIGEON SHOW RULES:
1) Entry fee is $3.00 per bird for the pigeon show. Fees must be paid in full and accompany the entry form. We rarely accept telephone entries.
2) Entry deadline is Sat. March 29, 2008 and must be postmarked by 12:00 midnight on that date. We rarely accept phone or late entries. 3) Entries must be marked with Band Number, Age/Sex, Breed, Color/Variety, and labeled as Sporting, Utility, or Fancy. Failure to do so could result in you entry being disqualified. PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY. Substitutions are acceptable if the entry is the same breed, age/sex, and color/variety.
4) Birds may be cooped from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm Friday evening or 6:00 am to 8:45 am Saturday morning. All birds must be in their coops and ready for judging by 8:45 am Saturday. Judging will start promptly at 9:00 am.
5) Any sick or lousy birds will be removed from the show.
6) Gateway Poultry Association, Inc. will not be responsible for any personal injury or loss of birds and reserves the right to refuse any entry.
7) No outsides sales or inside sales coops will be available in 2008. 10 foot by 10 foot inside sales areas will be available for $10. Bring your own tables or pens.
All birds will be judged in accordance with the NPA Pigeon Standards. Any rules not covered will be referred to and decided by the Gateway Poultry Association officers. All protests must be made in writing and a $25 deposit turned in to the Show Secretary before the birds are released from the show. The Gateway officers and judges will make the final decision. In the event that no justification for the protest is found, the fee will be forfeited. Gateway Poultry Association, Inc. will use every precaution against accidents, theft, or fire but will not be responsible if any occur. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the show room or on the fairgrounds.
